10th July Express Entry Draw Results

The IRCC has invited 3,600 Express Entry candidates to apply for Canadian permanent residency visa in a draw held on July 10, 2019. It is considered as one of the largest draws announced since January 23, 2019.

A larger sized draw indicated a rise in the overall admission targets, which are set to be achieved by 2020 under the following Federal High Skilled immigration programs:

  • Federal Skilled Worker Class
  • Federal Skilled Trades Class
  • Canadian Experience Class

With a cutoff score of 460 points, this draw has marked a fall in the minimum cutoff score. The draw witnessed a two-point decrease in comparison to the minimum cutoff score of 462 in the last draw, which was held on June 26, 2019.

In the latest Express Entry draw, the IRCC has applied a tie break of June 11, 2019, at 12:27:18 UTC. It clearly indicates that all those candidates who have scored 460 and above CRS points and have entered their EE profile in the pool before this time and date, will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

How the Express Entry System works?

Candidates who wish to apply for Canadian permanent residency status are required to create an Express Entry profile, which enters into the Express Entry pool. Then the profiles are ranked on the basis of scores awarded for key factors like candidate s age, skilled work experience, education, proficiency in English or French, etc. Candidates with higher rank have issued an ITA to apply for a permanent residency visa.
