On 7th June 2019, Manitoba province has announced its latest MPNP draw. This draw saw the issuance of total 209 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for provincial nomination to allow candidates to apply for Canadian PR.
June 7 Manitoba PNP Draw was in Favor of the following categories:
Categories/Streams | LAAs | Minimum Score |
Skilled Workers in Manitoba | 121 | 542 |
Skilled Workers Overseas | 60 | 701 |
International Education | 28 | - |
As per PNP guidelines, all the candidates with Letters of Advice to apply have to submit a completed visa application within 60 days to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program authorities. This way the province can nominate economic-class immigration applicants for Canadian permanent residency visa.
Last year also saw a record nomination of 5,207 ITAs for Canadian permanent residence visa, out of which 65% were issued to the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream candidates.
Please note, all the 60 candidates under a Skilled Workers Overseas stream have obtained LAA directly via a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
The MPNP also informed that 18 out of 209 LAAs were issued to the candidates under federal Express Entry pool and focused on three key economic-class immigration categories, including:
Important: Revised Manitoba PNP In-Demand Occupation List
For obtaining a provincial nomination from the province of Manitoba, all the candidates are asked to submit their EOI (Expression of Interest) to the MPNP. Then they get a score, which determines their ranking in the pool of candidates on the basis of answers they submit in their EOIs. Those candidates with a highest-score obtain LAAs via draws.
The MPNP has also said that all the Express Entry candidates applying in EE stream of MPNP are required to register a separate EOI with the MPNP and must have a job seeker validation code and a valid work experience in an occupation listed in Manitoba s In-Demand Occupations List. This way, the candidates become eligible to receive the provincial nomination and consequently, an additional 600 points in federal express entry system.
