Alberta holds first AINP draw of 2021
Finally, the Canadian province, Alberta opened the much-anticipated AINP draw after a long gap of 6 months. The province conducted the draw on January 8, 2021 and recently announced the details for the same.
In this latest Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program draw, the province invited total 50 eligible applicants under AINP s Express Entry Stream. All the invited applicants who scored minimum 406 CRS scores or above received their invitations in this draw and are now eligible to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence of Canada.

Selection criteria for 8th January AINP draw
In order to received a Notification of Interest letter in this draw, candidates were required to:
· Have an active Express Entry profile
· Show interest in immigrating to Alberta permanently
· Prove that they are working in an occupation that supports the economic development and diversification plans of Alberta
· Obtain at least 406 CRS scores or above
· Meet eligibility criteria of any one of the federal immigration programs, including:
ü Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
ü Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
ü Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
About Alberta Express Entry Stream
Introduced in the year 2018, under Alberta Express Entry Stream, the AINP select eligible candidates from the federal Express Entry pool, who can meet Alberta s specific labor market requirements.
The Express Entry system manages the candidate pool for key economic immigration program including:
· Federal Skilled Worker Class
· Federal Skilled Trades Class
· Canadian Experience Class
Eligible candidates enter into the Express Entry pool and get score based on Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Candidates with the highest-rank are issued ITAs for Canadian PR via regular EE draws.
