On 10th October, Alberta has issued the details of its draw, which was held on September 25, 2019. A total of 374 Express Entry candidates have been invited by AINP (Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program) with a minimum cutoff score recorded as 400 points. The invited candidates are now eligible to apply for Alberta s provincial nomination.
Though, this score was not as low as the previously held draws by AINP, which was only 300 points. But, we still consider it notably lower than the cutoff score of 464 CRS points, which was recorded in the most recent federal Express Entry draw.
With this latest AINP draw with a total of 374 invites issued on 25th September, the total number of invited EE candidates has reached up to 6,088 invitations under AINP (Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program).
The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is a part of Canada s Provincial Nominee Program. Through AINP, the province of Alberta invites an array of skilled workers, entrepreneurs and graduates to settle down in Alberta as a permanent resident.
Candidates who successfully receive a provincial nomination certificate from AINP becomes eligible to apply for Canadian permanent residence visa.
Like other provinces and territories of Canada, Alberta also has at least one Express Entry aligned stream. Through this Alberta Express Entry Stream, AINP looks out for those skilled foreign workers who can support Alberta s diversification priorities, economic development and fulfill the province s labor market needs.
With a provincial nomination, an Express Entry candidate also gets an additional 600 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of Express Entry. Since a candidate’s score is the main determinant of his or her ranking in the pool of candidates, these additional 600 points prove quite beneficial for a candidate and guarantee him or her an invitation to apply for PR in Canada.
