All the categories under BC PNP are managed by the Skills Immigration Registration System of the province. In order to be eligible to apply via the SIRS, candidates have to register themselves, after which they are ranked as per the scores obtained by them on the basis of factors like age, education, language proficiency, work experience, etc.
Candidates who score highest points are invited to apply for a provincial nomination whenever the province holds its next periodic draw.
All the categories which are managed by the SIRS require a candidate to have an employment offer from any British Columbia s employer.
Candidates who are invited via Express Entry BC: International Graduate and the Express Entry BC: Skilled Worker categories are also eligible to obtain 600 additional CRS points and are assured of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the upcoming federal Express Entry draw, only if they get their provincial nomination.
