This particular draw of express entry opened after some delay. Although, the reason for the delay hasn’t been revealed by IRCC, however, the delay in opening the draw played a key role in terms of raising the qualifying marks or CRS score requirement from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada). The CRS score requirement increased by 7 points by the IRCC in the present EE draw to make it 466 points this time around.
The applicants were expecting a fall in the qualifying marks, after seeing the reduction in the cut off for last few draws, however, IRCC had other plans as it delayed the draw first and subsequently raised the cut-off to surprise the applicants a bit. Although, the rise in the qualifying marks often take place when a draw takes more than the normal time to open.
With the 12th August draw, the total number of invitations issued by IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) this year has reached to the staggering mark of 52,600 invitations in total 16 express entry draws launched this year. This is an incredible number of invites issued by any immigration program in just six months or so. It’s the third time constantly, IRCC has invited 3,600 candidates to apply for Canadian PR visa.
