The Canadian government is now issuing the invitations to the sponsors of the Parent and Grandparent Program (PGP). The government has the target of accepting total 20,000 invitations this year. The ITAs are being issued to those applicants, who submitted the interest to sponsor form in January 2019. The sponsor of the Parents and Grandparents program is needed to be 18 years or above. Also, he/she must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident to be able to apply for PGP sponsorship.
The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada are now issuing the invites to sponsors of Parent and Grandparent Program. The first lot of invites was sent on April 24, 2019. The IRCC will accept 20,000 applications for the PGP this year. The ITAs are being issued in the same order in which the Interest to Sponsor form was received from the interested applicants.
Once invitations are received by the eligible sponsor, there are two applications needs to be submitted, i.e. one by the sponsor for the PGP sponsorship and second one by the person or persons being sponsored
