The Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have made an announcement to update processing fees for all permanent residence immigration programs for foreign nationals.
The revised fees amount that includes operational, processing and service delivery costs will come into effect on April 30, at 9 a.m. EDT.
The revision will be applicable to all the applications submitted on or after the said date and time for the next two years.
All those applications that will be submitted with the previous fees amount will be considered incomplete and will be returned to the respective applicants.
There is going to be a 50% increase in the processing fees for economic class permanent resident applicants.
The fee will increase from $1,050 to $1,575 for primary applicants including, self-employed, start-up visa, Quebec investor, Quebec entrepreneur, and Quebec self-employed.
The fee will increase from $550 to $825 for principal applicants. But, an increased fee amount is not applicable for principal applicants and their family members in the Caregivers programs.
The fee will increase from $550 to $825 for all the economic classes
The fee will increase from $150 to $225 for all the economic classes
There will be a rise of 2% in the right of PR fee, i.e. from $490 to $500
Please note, fees for PR cards, PR travel documents, and certification or immigration documents replacement will remain unchanged. While fees for PR applications are subject to be revised again in 2022 as per the Consumer Price Index.
Till April 30, the below mentioned current fee structure will be applicable for all the Canadian PR applications:
