In a recent Express Entry draw held by the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued total 600 invitations to candidates with provincial nomination.
Candidates invited in 19th August draw required a CRS score of 771 and a provincial nomination to qualify for obtaining an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence.
All the nominated PNP recipients were awarded with 600 additional CRS points that were added to their overall human capital score, making it easy for them to meet the cut off requirement.
With today's draw, the total number of ITAs issued so far in 2020 has reached up to 62,450, setting a new record for this time of the year.
Another noticeable factor in this round was the CRS score requirement of 771 points, which is recorded as the highest cutoff of 2020. One of the possible reasons behind higher cut off score could be a time gap between two draws.
However, this was the third Express Entry draw conducted by the IRCC in August and if the government follows this pattern, then meeting the annual immigration level targets set for 2020 can be achievable.
For this 27th invitation round of 2020, the IRCC had implemented July 24, 2020 at 11:29:33 UTC as the tie-breaker rule.
Thus, all those candidates who had scored 771 points or above and had entered their Express Entry profile before the mentioned date and time had received their ITA in this invitation round.
