On September 28, 2023, the IRCC held a draw first time ever for the Agriculture and agri-food occupations (2023-1) to issue 600 ITAs (Invitations to Apply) for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa. This draw was long awaited as it was the only category for which Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) didn’t opened an Express Entry invitation round.
New Express Entry draw on 28 September
In this first ever of its kind invitation round, the IRCC invited 600 Express Entry candidates to apply for Permanent Resident (PR) Visa, who had the CRS score of just 354 points or higher.

With this newest invitation round of EE system, now, IRCC has issued total 86,048 invitations through 31 Express Entry invitation rounds opened this year until date.
