In a latest Express Entry Draw, the Immigration, Refugee, Citizenship Canada invited total of 4,500 Express Entry candidates.
All the candidates who are invited in this draw conducted on October 14, 2020 are now eligible to apply for Canada permanent residence.
With this new draw, the total number of ITAs issued so far in 2020 has reached up to 82,850.
The figures clearly indicate how swiftly the Canadian government is approaching towards meeting the immigration level targets set for Federal High Skilled immigration.
Since 2nd September, the IRCC has been issuing 4,200 ITAs in every two weeks time. Whereas, this latest draw managed to become the all-time biggest invitation round ever conducted by the IRCC to invite Express Entry candidates.
The minimum CRS score requirement was of 471 points and there is no increase in the same in comparison to the previously held Express Entry draw on 1st October.
Only the highest scoring candidates received their Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in this Express Entry draw.
However, IRCC had also applied a tie-breaking rule of September 1, 2020, at 12:11:23 UTC.
Accordingly to this rule, those candidates who had scored minimum 471 points or above and submitted their Express Entry profile before the said date and time had received their invitations.
The Express Entry system was introduced by the IRCC in January 2015 to manage and process permanent residence applications electronically.
