Latest Express Entry Draw- 6 Dec 2023

In a recent development on December 6, 2023, the Canadian immigration department, i.e. Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) opened an all-program Express Entry draw, extending a total of 4,750 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for the Canadian PR Visa. This draw comes after a hiatus of almost one and half month since the previous Express Entry draw occurred on October 26, 2023.

New Express Entry Draw Details

The IRCC, in its latest EE draw, welcomed 4,750 candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) scores of 561 points or higher. Notable is the fact that the draw encompassed candidates from all categories of the federal Express Entry System, including Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trades (FST), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). You must stay well-informed of the latest developments and nuances surrounding this draw to navigate the process of securing an ITA in the ever-evolving landscape of Canadian immigration.

With this new Express Entry System invitation round, Canada has invited total of 99,971 applicants to apply for a PR (Permanent Residence) visa in the 36 EE draws opened in the year 2023 until date.

This draw transpired after a gap of over a month, with the preceding draw taking place on October 26, 2023. The stipulation of a 561-point Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in this recent draw suggests the addition of new candidates into the EE system, given the later initiation of the draw this time.

Looking ahead to the year 2024, it is anticipated that the CRS score will drop, influenced by several key factors, including the implementation of category-based Express Entry draws and the aspiring immigration target set by Canadian government for the year 2024, which aims to welcome 485,000 new permanent residents.
