For the fourth time in a row, the IRCC issued whooping 5,000 ITAs to eligible candidates in an Express Entry draw held on December 23, 2020. With this latest invitation round, the total number of ITAs issued so far in 2020 has reached up to 107,350 and created a new record of inviting highest number of applicants in a single year.
The minimum CRS score requirement in this draw dropped to 468 points, which is slightly low from previously held invitation rounds, which were conducted on 10th December and 26th November, respectively.
Additionally, the tie-breaking rule implemented in this round was of before June 4, 2020 at 13:39:44 UTC, which clearly indicates that in order to receive an invitation candidates must have scored minimum 468 points or above and must have submitted their EE profile before the said date and time.
The Express Entry system was introduced in January 2015 by the IRCC (Immigration, Refugee, Citizenship Canada) to manage and process permanent residence applications from skilled foreign nationals.
