Canadian federal immigration department, i.e. IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has issued 3,350 invitations yet again in the 6th Express Entry draw of the year opened on March 20, 2019. The draw has invited the same number of express entry candidates 4th time in a row, which seems another trend occurring planned by the IRCC for the candidates. Similar Number of Invitations in Last Few Draws
The IRCC is inviting the same number of candidates for last 4 express entry draws, which seems to be a pattern now. It first invited the 3,350 candidates on 30th January draw this year and since the same trend continues.
Overall, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada have invited total 21,200 candidates, which is the highest number, compared to the same period in the last few years. Last year, IRCC invited 14,500 EE candidates in the same period, which is far too low compared to 2019 invites up till now. The previous highest till March 20th draw was in the year 2017 when IRCC issued 20,883 Invitations.

The government has also reduced the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) Score requirement or minimum qualifying marks to get the Canada PR invitation in the current EE draw. In the 20th March Draw, IRCC has reduced the cut off by just 2 points compared to the last draw to make it 452 CRS points for the express entry candidates. The applicants matching or exceeding this CRS score will get the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency.
The express entry candidates, who have received the invitation this time around will have to submit the complete application for PR along with the asked documents within the set period of 60 days.
