In an Express Entry draw held on June 11, the IRCC had invited a total of 3,559 candidates to apply for Canadian PR. This is the second draw in 24 hours, followed by 10th June draw, where 341 ITAs were issued to Provincial Nominee candidates.
Unlike, the last draw, this invitation round targeted candidates under the Canadian Experience Class program who had the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of as low as 437 points or above.The cutoff score in this draw is recorded as the lowest CRS score announced under the CEC category since 2017.
With this draw, IRCC has continued its trend of issuing ITAs exclusively to CEC with a considerably low CRS score.
The IRCC has now held a total of 13 CEC and Provincial nominee draws over the past 2 months time to invite candidates to apply for Canada PR.
With this latest invitation round, the total number of ITAs issued so far in 2020 has come up to 46,000.
The vast majority of candidates under CEC and Provincial Nominees are already living in Canada and, thus, they don t need to enter the country.
The tie-breaker rule implemented in this draw by the IRCC was of May 25, 2020, at 00:31:43 UTC.
This clearly indicates that all the candidates who had registered their Express Entry profile on or before the mentioned date and time and had score 437 CRS points or above had obtained invitations in this selection round.
