In a latest Express Entry draw held on 20th August, a total of 3,600 invitations to apply were issued for Canadian PR with a minimum CRS score of 457 and above. With this latest draw, the total number of invitations issued to date in the year 2019 has reached up to 56,200 ITAs.
This Tuesday s draw was one of the rare draws, which saw the lowest minimum score requirement since 1st May. Moreover, since 8th September 2015, there hasn’t been any Express Entry draw which was held on a Tuesday.
A tie break rule applied by IRCC in the 20th August draw was March 24, 2019, at 15:32:42 UTC. This clearly indicates that all the candidates with have scored 457 or above and have entered their profile in the EE pool before the said date and time will receive an ITA (Invitation to Apply).
IRCC has followed a trend of issuing 3,600 ITAs at once since 10th July. Between 30th January and 26th June, IRCC had issued around 3,350 ITAs for all-program EE draw.
This expansion in the draw size may help IRCC in exceeding its last year s, single-year ITA record, which was 89,800 invitations.
