The province of Alberta has held the latest draw on 6th November. In this latest draw, the province has invited a total of 148 candidates for AINP s express Entry aligned stream. All the invited candidates are now eligible to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR visa
In this round of invitation held on 6th November, the minimum CRS was as high as 400 points. These points are awarded to all the candidates on the basis of their key profile factors, like age, educational background, work experience, language proficiency, and more.
All the Express Entry candidates who have the provincial nomination get additional 600 points and are guaranteed to get their Invitation to Apply for Canadian PR visas from the IRCC.
But, the main criteria to qualify for Alberta s provincial nomination is that you must have an Express Entry profile. The reason behind this criteria is that the federal Express Entry system is a program that manages a candidate pool for three key economic immigration streams of Canada, i.e. the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Class.
The AINP (Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program) manages its Express Entry aligned Stream. This stream under the AINP is designed to allow the province of Alberta to select and nominate eligible candidates from the Express Entry pool. The province selects those Express Entry candidates who have strong ties with the province and are skilled enough to support the province’s economy as well as diversification objectives. Once selected, the AINP asks the eligible candidates to submit an application for Alberta s provincial nomination.
There is not a mandatory requirement for a prior job offer in Alberta.
