In the latest EOI (Expression of Interest) draw held on 21st November 2019, the province of Prince Edward Island has issued 171 invitations to candidates under PEI PNP s Express Entry, Labour Impact and Business Impact categories.
If we talk about this draw, it s the second-largest draw held by the province of Prince Edward Island in 2019, since February 21. In the 21st February draw, the PEI PNP had invited a total of 199 invitations.
Out of 171 invitations, 157 invites were sent to candidates under Express Entry and Labour Impact categories and the remaining 14 invites were sent to candidates who have registered their EOI profiles in the Business Impact: Work Permit Stream of PEI PNP. All the candidates who are invited in this draw are now eligible to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence of Canada from the PEI PNP (Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program).
The PEI PNP has not issued any details regarding the breakdown of streamwise invitations for Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates. In fact, the minimum EOI score requirement was also not provided by the PEI PNP.
In the case of Business Impact: Work Permit Stream, the minimum EOI score requirement is 130 points.
This stream is linked to Canada s Express Entry system. It manages a pool of candidates for three main economic immigration programs of Canada, which includes, the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Class.
Those Express Entry candidates who already have a provincial nomination get an additional 600 points in their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. With these points, they are guaranteed to get an invitation to apply for permanent residence of Canada from IRCC in upcoming Express Entry draws.
To get an invitation for a provincial nomination of PEI, candidates have to submit their Expression of Interest to the PEI PNP. Then they are awarded a score and those with high rank will be invited to apply via monthly draws.
This is designed for those foreign nationals who have a valid job offer from PEI s employer. This stream is divided into 3 sub-streams: Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Critical Worker. Candidates under this category are also required to submit their EOI profile.
So far, in the year 2019, The PEI PNP has issued total 1,336 invitations to Express Entry and Labour Impact candidates.
This stream is designed for those immigrants who are willing to own and operate their business on Prince Edward Island. And a total of 182 foreign entrepreneurs has been invited via this PEI PNP s stream so far in the year 2019.
