Find below the key details of the current EE draw:
The Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has opened the current draw of express entry system after a delay, considering the fortnightly trend of draw launching. The last draw was opened last month on 30th January and now it launched after 20 days. In the last few months, IRCC has not been consistent with its 15 days draw opening pattern. Sometimes draw opens within a week, while sometimes it takes more than 15-20 days to open.
Meanwhile, the fastest immigration system of Canada continues to make records in terms of highest number of invitations. With this latest draw, this year express entry has invited record 14,500 candidates, which is again a new record. It’s the biggest start (including first 4 draws) of the year since the introduction of the EE System way back in 2015. It’s a good sign for the express entry candidates as numbers of invitations issued to the applicants are massive in the last few draws.

As was expected, the IRCC has increased the qualifying marks in the latest EE draw opened on 20th February. When there is a delay in the launch of the draw, it is expected that there won’t be any reduction in the qualifying marks. In fact, this time around the cut off has been increased to 457 points by IRCC, which is a significant rise in the last few months.
The qualifying marks are highest in last 6 draws, as you can see in the above graph. The previous high was 449 CRS points, in the express entry draw opened on 10th January 2019.
