Manitoba Invited 253 Candidates in Latest EOI Based MPNP draw

The Canadian province of Manitoba issued 253 LAAs (Letters of Advice to Apply) to eligible immigration applicants in a latest MPNP draw held on August 13, 2020.

The LAAs were issued to candidates under Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream, International Education stream and Skilled Workers Overseas stream.

In this latest Expressions of Interest based draw opened under Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program, the province shared a detailed bifurcation of total LAAs issued under each category, which is mentioned below.

1) Skilled Workers In Manitoba

Number of LAAs issued: 197
Minimum score requirement: 485

2) International Education Stream

Number of LAAs issued: 23

3) Skilled Workers Overseas

Number of LAAs issued: 33 (directly invited under MPNP's Strategic Recruitment Initiative)
Minimum score requirement: 672

Please note, of the 253 LAAs issued in this EOI MPNP draw, 23 LAAs were issued to candidates who had an Express Entry profile with a valid ID and a job seeker validation code.

Eligibility Criteria for Manitoba PNP

In this draw, the EOIs from candidates under Skilled Worker Overseas stream were considered valid only if they were invited directly by the MPNP under its Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
Only those candidates under the Express Entry sub-stream were considered eligible who had a valid Express Entry ID and a job seeker validation code along with verifiable experience in that occupation which is listed under Manitoba’s In-demand Occupations list.
If a candidate's score is higher than the score of the lowest-ranked candidate, but they have not received an LAA in this draw, then the possible reasons could be:
- candidate failed to provided a valid Language Test Number for EOI
- candidate's language test is not valid
- candidate failed to provide a valid Invitation Number

Candidates working in a regulated occupation and have a license to work in Manitoba were selected in this draw.
Application from candidates who are not working in any regulated occupation and/or failed to submit proof of following required licensing steps for employment in Manitoba were not accepted.
