In a draw held on 6th December 2019, the province of Manitoba has invited a total of 221 candidates from three key streams of MPNP (Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program). With this latest draw, the total number of LAAs issued by MPNP so far in the year 2019 has reached up to 7362.
The candidates who have received their Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) were from the following streams:
Out of 221 invites, 165 LAAs were sent to the candidates under Skilled Worker in Manitoba streams, 23 LAAs were sent to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates and 33 LAAs were sent to candidates under International Education Stream.
Please note, 18 candidates who were invited in the latest draw held on 6th December had declared a valid profile in the Express Entry pool and had a job seeker validation code.
For Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream, the minimum score requirement was 522 points and for Skilled Worker Overseas Stream, it was 718 points.

This MPNP category is designed to fulfill the needs of employers in Manitoba. The province selects highly trained and experienced foreign workers who have the right skills as required to meet the provincial labour market needs, and accordingly nominate the candidates for Canadian permanent resident visas to work and live in the province of Manitoba. This stream is divided into two sub-categories:
For both the sub-categories, the candidates must show their strong connection in Manitoba, which could be supported from family members living in Manitoba, any previous work experience in Manitoba or an ITA received from MPNP directly via Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The same is the case with the 23 Skilled Workers Overseas candidates who were directly invited through MPNP s Strategic Recruitment Initiative in this latest draw held on 6th December.
The category is designed to select international students who are graduating in Manitoba and are skilled enough to meet the industrial needs of Manitoba. Manitoba graduates who have acquired in-demand skills in certain occupations are generally invited under this stream.
