In the latest MPNP draw, Manitoba invited 99 candidates under its key streams, including Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education streams.
The EOI based draw held on May 21, 2020, conducted by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program to issue Letters of Advice to Apply to eligible candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for Canada PR.
The LAAs were distributed as follows:
Candidates who had indicated that they work in a fully licensed and regulated occupation in Manitoba are selected in this latest draw.
However, the MPNP may refuse those applications where candidates are not working in any regulated occupation or if they fail to submit proof of undergoing any necessary steps related to employment licensing in Manitoba.
With this round of invitation, the total number of LAAs issued so far in 2020 has reached up to 2,030 under the mentioned categories.
As per the information shared by the provincial government, out of total 99 LAAs, 72 were sent to candidates under Skilled Workers in Manitoba stream with the minimum score requirement of 485points.
While, 15 LAAs have been issued to Skilled Workers Overseas candidates. The invitations were issued directly by MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative with a minimum score requirement of 613.
EOI from candidates under the Skilled Worker Overseas category has not been considered valid in this draw if they were not invited directly by the MPNP under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
The remaining 12 LAAs were issued to candidates under the International Education stream. There are three sub-categories including, Career Employment Pathway, Graduate Internship Pathway, and the Student Entrepreneur Pathway.
But, the minimum score requirement for international education stream candidates is not shared by the MPNP.
While 9 LAAs were also issued to the Express Entry candidates who had a valid Express Entry ID and a job seeker code.
Candidates under the Express Entry sub-stream were not considered eligible if they do not have a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code along with relevant experience in an In-demand Occupations list of Manitoba.
