The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued 299 invitations to candidates under three streams, including Skilled Workers in Manitoba, Skilled Workers Overseas and International Education streams.
Via this program, Manitoba nominates a number of economic immigration candidates every year to address Manitoba s labor market needs.
The breakdown of invitations issued by MPNP is as follows:
The MPNP has announced that all the candidates falling under Skilled Workers Overseas Stream were invited directly via a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, which is to include overseas recruitment missions led by the MPNP in alliance with Manitoba employers.
MPNP Expression of Interest
The first step to apply for Manitoba provincial nomination is to submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) to the MPNP. In the EOI, the candidate has to provide the necessary information, including their educational qualification, language proficiency, work experience and any previous connection with the province.
Each EOI profile is awarded with a score and the highest-scoring candidates gets Letters of Advice to Apply for Manitoba provincial nomination in the draws which are conducted at regular intervals.
The lowest score of 510 was drawn on the April 25 draw for Skilled Workers and 632 for Skilled Workers Overseas applicants.
The Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream is open for international student graduates and temporary foreign workers who work in Manitoba and have a permanent job with an employer in Manitoba.
The MPNP said if the applicants for Skilled Workers in Manitoba are working in a regulated occupation and have license to work in Manitoba, then they will be selected in the draw held on April 25, 2019.
The April 25 invitations bring the total issued by the MPNP through these streams so far this year to 3,901.
