The program-specific CEC draw held on 28th May 2020, the IRCC issued 3,515 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Canadian permanent residence.
The minimum CRS score had dropped again to 440 points as Canada conducted its Express Entry draw targeting Canadian Experience Class candidates exclusively.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in Canada, minimum scores have now fallen from 467 points to 440 points in the six Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws. With today’s draw, a total of ITAs issued in 2020 is 42,100.
In this 150th Express Entry draw, the IRCC invited candidates with active profiles in the CEC program with a minimum one year of full-time, skilled work experience in Canada and minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher.
As a matter of fact, in spite of the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, Canada is continuing to invite candidates.
Though, the Express Entry draws are limited to PNP and CEC candidates, but, there is always a ray of hope for prospective applicants as the IRCC is still accepting and processing applications with extended deadlines.
The tie-breaking rule implemented in this draw by the IRCC was of March 7, 2020, at 10:36: 59 UTC.
This clearly indicates that all the candidates who have registered their Express Entry profile in the pool on or before the mentioned date and time and have score 440 points or higher have obtained invitations in this selection round.
