New Brunswick s NBPNP (New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program) has announced that the program will issue ITAs (invitation to apply) to Express Entry candidates for a provincial nomination from the province even if they have not registered an Expression of Interest with New Brunswick.
In a statement published on Friday, 26th July, the NBPNP stated that it “will, on occasion, invite candidates directly from the federal Express Entry pool in response to provincial labour-market needs.”
A Letter of Interest (LOI) will be issued to Express Entry candidates who will get selected via the New Brunswick PNP s occasional searches directly in the respective Express Entry accounts. While all those candidates who receive an ITA (invitation to apply) from NBPNP will be required to meet the requirements to be eligible for the Express Entry Labour Market Stream of the NBPNP.
New Brunswick is planning to utilize this newly developed approach for the Expression of Interest-based invitations as well, which are issued via the EELMS (Express Entry Labour Market Stream).
The Express Entry pool accepts candidates profiles for 3 main economic-class immigration programs of Canada, which includes, the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Class.
Candidates are then ranked on the basis of their CRS score that is calculated on the basis of their age, skilled work experience, education, proficiency in English or French, etc..
In addition to it, if an Express Entry candidate also possesses a provincial nomination, then he/she will also get an additional benefit of 600 points, which guarantees him/her to get an ITA to apply for a permanent residency visa in Canada.
Besides New Brunswick, there are other Express Entry-linked provincial nomination categories in the provinces of Alberta, Nova Scotia, and Ontario. These provinces also use the targeted searches drive for the federal Express Entry pool. It includes the Ontario’s Human Capital Priorities Stream, Nova Scotia’s Labour Market Priorities Stream and the Alberta Express Entry Stream.
