The Canadian province, Ontario has launched a new expression of interestsystem for two PNP stream. As per the information shared by the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), the EOI is now open for application intake under following OINP streams:
Ø Employer Job Offer Category
ü Foreign Worker Stream
ü International Student Stream
Please note, the EOI system will remain open for the above-mentioned streams throughout the year and an interested applicant can register their expression of interest any time.
Furthermore, the OINP is expected to open EOI system for following streams as well in near future:
Ø Employer Job Offer Category
ü In-Demand SkillsStream
ü Masters Graduate Stream
ü PhD Graduate Stream
How OINP Expression of Interest System Works?
The EOI system is used by the program to manage applications under selected streams. Before applying under selected streams, an applicant must register an EOI as an indication that he/she is interested in moving to Ontario.
A registration allows the authority to gather required information about the applicant. After submission, the OINP rank and select applicants who are capable of fulfilling Ontario’seconomic and labour market requirements on the basis of following factors:
ü Education level
ü English or Frenchlanguage skills
ü True intentions to settle down in Ontario, outside of the Greater Toronto Area
ü Skill set and work experience
ü Other factors, like job offer from an employer in Ontario, Canadian work experience (if any)
How to register an EOI?
In order to register an expression of interest, you must:
ü Create a profile in the e-Filing Portal of OINP
ü Meet the eligibility requirements as per the selected stream
ü Register an EOI for one or more selected streams
Please note,at the time of registration, you must ensure that all the informationyou provide is true and accurate.
Once you successfully registeran EOI, you don’t need to contact the program.If you get selected and for an invitation to apply, the OINP will send you a notification in the e-Filing Portal.
However, you must know that a registration doesn’t guarantee you an invitation to apply.
