In an OINP draw held on May 13, 2020, a total of 703 Notifications of Interest (NOIs) are issued to candidates with Canadian work experience under Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream.
The OINP had targeted candidates who had CRS score ranging between 421 and 451, and prior work experience in the targeted NOC codes.
In order to be eligible for a provincial nomination, applicants are required to have work experience in any one of the eligible NOC codes mentioned above, otherwise, the application may get refused.
In an effort to make recruitment easier for businesses in the technology sector and bring in the top talent, the province has taken this dedicated approach through its Provincial Nominee Program.
To ensure that Ontario employers meet their labor needs, this initiative has been taken in accordance with stakeholders via a face-to-face consultation and survey done across the province.
This approach has helped OINP in choosing priority occupations for targeted tech draws.
Through tech draws Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program invites candidates with technological skills under Human Capital Priorities Stream from the IRCC's Express Entry pool.
All the candidates who receive NOIs in a draw may submit their online nomination application to the OINP if they qualify under any one of Ontario’s Express Entry streams within 45 calendar days of receiving their NOIs.
Their applications will be processed and a decision will be taken on granting or refusing their application as per the regulations of the Ontario Immigration Act, 2015.
