As per the recent amendment in the Ontario Immigration Act, 2015 regulations, the Ontario has announced to re-open its In-Demand Skills Stream on July 6, 2020.
According to the announcement, new applications under the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream will be processed on the basis of amended selection criteria as decided out in Ontario Regulation 422/17 (General) on July 1, 2020.
The amendments have been introduced to the selection criteria for the Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream with an aim to address regional employer needs and shortages and to improve the responsiveness to program priorities.
Expanded Occupations - As of July 6, 13 new manufacturing related NOC codes will be added under Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills Stream eligible occupations.
The NOC codes are for employment positions that are located outside of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) only (i.e. work or report to work outside the GTA).
This stream specifically supports the employers who face labour shortages in specific in-demand occupations, like construction, agriculture and low/Semi-skilled NOC C or D.

Please note, settlement funds requirement has been removed for In-Demand Skills Stream applicants
This stream under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program gives foreign workers in and outside of Canada an opportunity to apply to permanently work and live in Ontario.
In order to apply online, an applicant must have a nomination by the Ontario government for Canadian PR and a permanent, full-time job offer in specific in-demand occupations like, agriculture, trucking, construction or personal support work.
The position offered can be located anywhere in Ontario, including inside and outside the Greater Toronto Area and the job offer has to be in any one of the following occupations in NOC Skill Level C or D:
