The Canadian province, Ontario, expects to generate $20 million into its economy via Ontario’s entrepreneurship project. In upcoming years, Ontario is planning to welcome 100 eligible immigrant entrepreneurs to set up or expand existing businesses in Canadian areas outside of the Greater Toronto Area.
All the interested business owners or developers can apply under the existing Entrepreneur Stream managed by Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. The selected applicants will be required to invest at least $200,000 in their business.
To qualify for a provincial nomination from OINP, applicants must prove that their firm has been successfully operating for a minimum of 18 to 20 months in Ontario. Once they get nominated, they may qualify to apply for Canadian PR to the IRCC.
As per the Canadian government press release, the recruiting project will help local employment creation and assist the regions heavily impacted during the pandemic. The project will cost around $6 million, which is more likely to be returned by the immigrant entrepreneurs, bringing around $20 million investment and generating more employment in Ontario.
