Prince Edward Island s provincial government has recently released its schedule to hold the invitations rounds under the PEI Provincial Nominee Program for the rest of the year. Prince Edward Island is the only Canadian jurisdiction that announces its PNP schedule ahead of time and adheres to it. However, 2020 was an exception when all the activities were suspended worldwide due to Covid-19.
PEI PNP Schedule 2022
As per the schedule, the Island will conduct 12 PEI PNP draws to invite eligible immigration applicants for a provincial nomination under three PEI PNP pathways, including:

2. Labour Impact
3. Business Impact

In 2021, PEI invited 1,804 applicants to apply for a provincial nomination. There were 1,697 invitations issued under the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams and 157 under the Business Impact stream.
PEI PNP Key Categories
Express Entry Category- It is an enhanced PNP and is linked to Canada s federal Express Entry system. To qualify for this stream, applicants must have a valid EE profile in the system.
Business Impact Category- To qualify under this category, applicants must meet the minimal provincial score.
Labour Impact Category- This category is ideal for those foreign workers who have a prior employment offer in PEI and their employer s support. To qualify for provincial nomination under this category, applicants must submit their Expression of Interest.
