Prince Edward Island of Canada issued new invitations to candidates under various streams to apply for a provincial nomination. In this latest draw held on 19th September 2019 targeted categories including Express Entry, Business Impact, and Labour Impact.
With this latest draw, the total number of invitations issued by the PEI PNP has now reached up to 1,031 to candidates in Express Entry as well as Labour Market Impact categories so far in the year 2019.
Out of total 122 invitations, Prince Edward Provincial Nominee Program had issued 109 invitations to Express Entry and Labour Impact streams. Any detailed breakup or any the minimum score is not released. While another 13 invitations were issued to candidates under Business Impact: Work Permit Stream.
The Express Entry Aligned category of PEI PNP is designed for those candidates who already have an Express Entry profile. Since, the Express Entry system manages a pool of candidates for Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class categories, it is a must for an applicant to create an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with PEI.
All the profiles get an EOI score on the basis of factors like age, education, proficiency in English or French language, work experience, etc. The highest-ranked candidates are then invited to apply for PEI s provincial nomination via monthly draws.
Please note, PEI PNP always gives more preference to those Express Entry candidates who are already working and living in PEI.
Moreover, candidates who have both, an Express Entry profile and a provincial nomination will also get an additional 600 points, which guarantees them an invitation to apply.
Talking about the Labour Impact Category of PEI, it is not linked to the Express Entry system and is divided into 3 streams, which are completely EOI-based, including, Skilled Workers (in PEI and outside Canada), Critical Workers and International Graduates. Candidates must have a full-time job offer from any employer in the province.

PEI’s Business Impact: Work Permit Stream is designed for those candidates who are eligible foreign entrepreneurs and have an eligible management experience or business ownership and are interested in investing in and running a business in the Prince Edward Island.
This stream is a point-based system and minimum score requirement for low-ranked candidate in this latest draw is 115 points.
