Prince Edward Island has announced its latest draw under PEI PNP (Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program). Total 104 invitations to apply have been issued to candidates under PEI PNPs key streams including, Express Entry, Business Impact, and Labour Impact categories.
The May 16th draw was the fifth in the year 2019, making it total 600 invites issued via three streams of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program.
The Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) focuses on the entry of those economic immigration candidates who meet the province’s local labor market demands. Moreover, the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) includes PEI and plays a major role in encouraging employment in the region.
Out of a total of 104 invitations issued, 90 ITAs went to candidates who have registered in EOI under Express entry and Labor Impact Category.
The remaining 14 ITAs went to candidates under Business impact: Work permit stream with the lowest score of 107 points. This stream is ideal for those individuals who are willing to own and operate a business in the province. And the candidates whose applications are approved will obtain a temporary work permit for establishing their business in the province. If the business applicant s conditions meet with the Prince Edward Island GovernmentPerformance Agreement, then he/she may apply for Canadian PR.
PEI’s Express Entry Category is a Federal Express Entry system-linked stream which manages a candidate pool for three economic categories like Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Canadian Experience Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Class.
If you are interested in applying under PEI’s Express Entry, then you have to register an Expression of Interest (EOI) in the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program express entry pool. Based on selection criteria like skilled work experience, level of education, proficiency in English or French, your profile will receive a CRS score out of 100 on the assessment table. Higher-scoring candidates will get invitations to apply for provincial nominations via regular Prince Edward Island s draws.
Most importantly, if you are applying under PEI’s Express entry stream, then you don’t need to produce a Canadian employer s job offer to become eligible. However, if you are already living and working in the province, then you ll be definitely prioritized over other candidates.
