By the year 2020, the Canadian Government is targeting to welcome millions of new immigrants. The results of the recent third quarter of 2019 have proved the forecast to be true.
In the third quarter of the year 2019, i.e. between July 1 to September 30, the IRCC has invited 21,600 Express Entry candidates. While in the first quarter, the IRCC invited 21,200 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence of Canada and in the second quarter, 20,600 candidates were invited.
Express Entry is one of the most popular federal immigration systems of Canada, which allows eligible candidates to obtain a Canadian PR visa.
In order to submit an express entry profile, a candidate doesn t need a job offer from any Canadian employer. But, he or she must qualify the eligibility requirements to apply under any of the economic immigration programs, including:
Candidates who submit their EE profiles into the pool are then ranked as per a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Those candidates who have got the highest ranks are then invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada.
Since 2018, the IRCC has drastically increased the issuance of Invitations to Apply for Express Entry candidates. In a draw held on 10th July 2019, the total number of ITAs issued through Express Entry was 3,600, which is considerably higher than the previously held draw.
The number of ITAs issued between July and September month remains constant, i.e. 3,600 ITAs per draw. This scenario resulted in the issuance of a total of 63,400 ITAs so far in the year 2019.

In 2019, so far the CRS score trend has been between 450 to 470, it is undoubtedly the result of frequent draws. Four out of the total six draws held in the 3rd quarter had recorded low CRS scores, while 2 draws recorded high CRS scores.
