Saskatchewan Has Updated the SINP In-Demand Occupations List in Sep, 2019

The Canadian province, Saskatchewan has released an updated list of in-demand SINP occupations for both In-Demand Occupation and Express Entry sub-categories.

After this update, more than 200 occupations became eligible for provincial nomination. The above-mentioned streams within the SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) doesn t require a candidate to show any job offer or prior work experience from any Canadian employer.

Saskatchewan Added Over 200 NOC Occupations in SINP In-Demand Occupations List

  • NOC "A" (These profiles generally require University education)
  • NOC "B" (These profiles generally require university education or apprenticeship training)
  • NOC "O" (Generally management profiles are included)

SINP has also released a list of 129 occupations which are excluded from the in-demand occupation list of SINP.

Among these two streams, the Express Entry sub-category is designed for those applicants who already have their profile in the federal Express Entry pool of Canada.

Those candidates who have their Express Entry profile and a provincial nomination via the Express Entry sub-category of SINP will also get an additional 600 points against their overall CRS score. This, in turn, guarantees than an invitation to apply for permanent residency of Canada.

While for the other stream, i.e. the In-Demand Occupation Sub-Category is designed for those candidates who don t have an Express Entry profile. If they are nominated then they can directly apply for Canadian PR outside the Express Entry, but this process is usually slower than the Express Entry aligned stream.

How to Apply for SINP Program?

All the candidates falling under any of the two sub-categories are required to get themselves registered in a separate EOI (Expression of Interest) with the SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program).

These streams under SINP serves as one of the best pathways for all the eligible candidates who have work experience in the listed occupations. Those candidates can confidently apply for provincial nomination to obtain their Canadian permanent residence.

These added occupations will help the province fulfill its labour market needs along with helping those candidates who have the desired skills to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker.
